For Manaus in particular, you can add October 24th (Founding of Manaus) and the end of June (The Parintins Folk Festival).

The main holiday periods (when prices go up, it's difficult to get flights, and service goes down - even further) are December - March (in Manaus and the Amazon, nothing much happens in January or February - you have been warned) and around July and August, which are school holiday periods).
